A BURNS supper is being staged at Haworth to raise funds for the village’s parish church.
The event takes place at the Old School Room, in Church Street, on Burns Night – Friday, January 25 – at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. It will finish at 11pm.
There will be traditional toasts – including the Immortal Memory toast, which will be given by local historian Ian Dewhirst – Robert Burns songs and recitations, and a supper of haggis, neeps and tatties.
The hall isn’t licensed to sell alcohol, but guests are invited to take their own.
Tickets for the event are available – priced £8 – from the organisers, Jens and Andrea Hislop, on 01535 644444.
Alternatively, e-mail jensandrea@blueyonder.co.uk.
