PLANS for a friends group for a popular beauty spot were outlined to councillors.
Worth Valley councillor Rebecca Poulsen explained steps being taken to start a Friends of Penistone Country Park, during an Oxenhope Parish Council meeting.
She said: “We’ll have an initial litter pick at Penistone Hill on January 27 from 1pm to 3pm.
“The aim is to hold the clean up one Sunday of each month. In spring we’ll have a bigger event at Penistone Hill, to establish the friends in a more formal manner.”
