BURGLARS tried to break into a home in Oxenhope’s Gledhow Drive, according to a police report delivered to parish councillors.
The attempted break-in was among the offences recorded in a monthly update presented at a meeting of Oxenhope Parish Council.
The criminals failed to get into the Gledhow Drive house, and nothing was taken, but the same period also included a report of large stones thrown at the windows of a property in Black Moor Road and a vehicle broken into in Station Road.
At the same meeting, police community support officer Ross Montgomery introduced himself to the parish council.
He explained he was about to begin working as an additional PCSO to cover the Worth Valley.
“I grew up in Haworth and this is an area I care about a lot,” he said.
