MEMBERS of a South Craven walking group are celebrating a decade of putting their best feet forward.

South Craven Walking 4 Health are stepping out for the 10th year with Monday and Thursday health walks.

The walks are primarily in and around South Craven villages including Carleton, Sutton, Cowling and Silsden and lasting between 30 and 90 minutes.

Coordinator Andy Glen said: “They are designed specifically for people who need to undertake some physical activity for a variety of health reasons.

“Feedback about the walks at the end of last year showed their continuing popularity. Walkers said how much they had enjoyed and the exercise, company and the views.

“They also appreciated the hard work of the walk leaders to make the walks both safe and interesting.

“The walks are usually followed by refreshments at a local village or church hall.”

South Craven Walking 4 Health is one of the many health walk schemes in England supported by The Ramblers.
