AN ALLEGED shoplifter was arrested yesterday when he was spotted running out of a Keighley store with stolen goods.
Police were on patrol in the Airedale Shopping Centre when an officer saw a man running out of the Peacocks shop “at speed” and being chased by a security guard.
A Keighley West Ward Area PCSO tweeted that he took over the chase from the security guard and followed the man onto North Street.
He was arrested after a short chase and the PCSO found suspected stolen items in the bag he was carrying.
Earlier the same day, the same PCSO had helped officers from Shipley search for and detain a man.
The man, who was wanted for burglary in the Long Lee area, was taken into custody and questioned by officers.
