PEOPLE have been invited to take part in a charity firewalk, which will be taking place outside a pub in Haworth.
Organiser Donna Ibbotson is part of a five-strong fundraising team. She and at least two other members of her group will brave the hot coals, but they would welcome more people to join them
Miss Ibbotson, 40, who lives in Haworth, said: "For people wanting to participate there will be a charge of £20 which goes towards paying the firewalk company.
"We are then asking each person to raise a minimum of £30 sponsorship for Manorlands and The Cystic Fibrosis Trust."
She and the other four fundraisers – Karen Hopkinson, Trevor Hopkinson, De-Anne Morris and Nina Devine, all have places on this year's Great North Run, which takes place on September 8.
The firewalk will be outside Haworth's King's Arms pub, on May 26.
Miss Ibbotson said: "We have a target to raise £3,000 the Great North Run in September. Half will go to Manorlands and half to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
"I've done a firewalk before for the same two causes and that went really well. This time we'd like about 50 people to do the walk with us."
People interested in getting involved can e-mail their details to haworthcharityfirewalk@yahoo.com
