Chocolate mug Valentine pudding


2 tablespoons chocolate spread like Nutella

2 tablespoons plain flour

1/2 tablespoon caster sugar

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 egg, medium size

1 tablespoon milk

2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Decorate with a dusting of icing sugar, fresh cream and strawberries


1. In a small cup, melt the chocolate spread in the microwave for 30 seconds.

2. Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and cocoa powder into a bowl, and combine well.

3. Crack in the egg and milk and give it a little mix.

4. Stir in the melted chocolate spread and chocolate chips, and give the mixture a good stir until it’s all combined well.

5. Take two small tea cups or one large mug gilt paint free and divide the mixture between them.

6. Put one cup at a time into the microwave for two minutes at 800w setting.

7. You will know when it’s done because it will be firm and springy on top.

8. Dust with icing sugar and add fresh cream or ice cream and
