BUNGLING burglars who stole a car from a home in Cullingworth crashed it moments after leaving the property.
The hapless thieves struck at a property in Greenside Lane on Monday (February 4) at around 3.05pm.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "The suspects travelled to the property in a black Volkswagen Golf, before entering and searching it.
"They then made off with an Audi parked in the driveway.
"As they were leaving the house, the Audi was in collision with a BMW on Greenside Lane. The driver of the Audi made off from the scene, and the vehicle was abandoned on Greenside Lane. There are no reports of any injuries from the collision.
"The Golf car was also later found abandoned.
"A 29-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released under investigation.
"Enquiries remain ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact officers. People with information should call 101, quoting crime reference 131900 63452."
