ACADEMY Award-winning movie Cold War will be screened by Keighley Film Club on Sunday, February 17.
The black-and-white film is based on the experiences of writer and director Pawel Pavlikowski’s parents following the Second World War in communist Poland and Yugoslavia.
Film Club spokesman Alan Watkinson said: “This is the story of a tempestuous love affair between two people with differing temperaments and backgrounds, separated by politics and fate.
“This intelligent, multi-language reflects exquisite pain. Comments offered include strong acting, powerful visuals, amazing music. It is a sophisticated, lush and passionate film with nudity, sexual content and coarse language.”
Cold War can be seen at the Picture House cinema, North Street, on Sunday at 6pm.
