THE latest Haworth Steampunk Weekend has soared past its previous fundraising total.
Organisers of last November's entertainments have announced the occasion generated £5,321 for Manorlands.
A spokesman for the steampunk weekend confirmed: "Despite the rain, we're thrilled to announce that the 2017 total was smashed by £1,000 at the November 2018 event, meaning we were able to donate £5,321 to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
"The White Rose Yorkshire Steampunks team would like to thank all those who donated their time and money at the Haworth Steampunk Weekend event.
"We can’t wait to see them all again this year at the earlier date of October 11 to 13. If any local businesses or residents would like to be involved in the weekend, they can contact info@whiteroseyorkshiresteampunks.co.uk"
The annual steampunk weekend has been taking place in Haworth for the last six years.
Last November's festivities included a masquerade ball and burlesque evening, markets, dance and music.
Hundreds of costumed steampunk enthusiasts from across the UK attended, dressed in an array of imaginative, outlandish outfits.
