ANOTHER set of Parkside School students have been busy in the kitchen.

GCSE Business students from year 10 took part in the Trinity Kitchen Challenge while visiting Trinity Kitchen in Leeds.

Business teacher Jenny Ashford, who accompanied the teenagers, said: “We spent the morning in a series of workshops learning from the experts.

“We have five weeks to come up with a pop-up food stall idea, including the menu and marketing ideas.”

The Trinity Kitchen Challenge followed on from a Mini Challenge undertaken a couple of weeks ago by Parkside’s year seven students.

The younger children were asked to create a pop-up food bar together with the signature dish.

They worked in teams, competing with each other throughout the day as they developed abilities in making decisions, solving problems, applying strategic thinking, and presenting their ideas in a professional manner.

At the end of the day each team presented their business idea to a team of employers from local businesses.

The Enterprise Challenge was delivered by Ahead Partnership as part of the Cullingworth school’s Aspire2b programme.
