A VILLAGE which lost its only cash machine when raiders destroyed it in late 2017 should have an ATM again within a few months.
The Co-op says its brand new Halifax Road convenience shop, which will include a cash machine, should soon be complete and will create up to six new jobs.
A spokesman for the Co-op said: "The store, which represents an investment of over £600,000 will open on Halifax Road towards the summer, and will replace our existing store in Greenside Lane, which is to close.
"All existing staff will be offered roles at the new store.
"The new store is located in the heart of the community, and will have an external ATM, 14 dedicated car parking spaces and an in-store bakery."
Joe Scoot, area manager for the Co-op, said: “We’re looking forward to opening the new shop in Cullingworth.
"And we’re delighted to have the opportunity to provide shoppers with a store designed to be easy to use for everyone.”
As previously reported, the cash machine at the Greenside Lane Co-op was wrecked by thieves in November 2017.
It was believed an explosive device was used in the early hours raid, which caused major damage to the front of the shop.
