A TATTOO artist from Cullingworth has joined forces with a fellow Bradford-based tattoo artist to launch a new city centre business.

Lucy Thompson, who specialises in restorative tattooing for breast cancer survivors, teamed up with Luke Naylor to open Wonderland Tattoo & Piercing Studio, in Rawson Place, Bradford.

She has previously run Skinflicted tattoo studio, in Keighley, for more than three years.

Miss Thompson said: "The Bradford studio includes a mastectomy tattoo clinic – the first of its kind in the north of England.

"Luke and I worked hard individually to become established, and have now gone on to merge my own Skinflicted studio and Luke's Hand on Heart.

"Opening this new studio means we've proudly been able to create seven new jobs.

"It will become a home for Yorkshire Mastectomy Tattoos, a specialist tattoo clinic dedicated to all types of restorative scar tattooing following mastectomy surgery.

"This will be a private, safe area to visit, which will help survivors love their new bodies and move forward with healing artwork that lasts a lifetime.

"The studio will also become a headquarters for non-profit organisation The Nipple Innovation Project, a cause dedicated to funding specialist tattoos for cancer survivors who may need financial assistance."
