SUE Balcomb gave two talks at a meeting of Keighley Soroptimists.
The first, Campaign Bootcamp, outlined a free training programme – Everyday Activism – which helps people develop campaigning skills. More details can be found at campaignbootcamp.org/everyday-activism.
The second focussed on the Women’s Holiday Centre, set-up in a Yorkshire village in 1980 as a charitable co-operative.
Breaks are offered to women and children, using a sliding scale of charges to make them affordable to all. Further information can be found at hortonwhc.org.uk.
