A CHEF is taking to the boxing ring to serve-up cash for charity.

Scott Porter is competing in an Ultra White Collar Boxing event, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

He hopes to coin-in hundreds of pounds, and has set-up an online fundraising page – visit justgiving.com and search under his name.

Scott works for Czajka Care Group across all five of its homes, including Currergate at Steeton and Beanlands, Cross Hills.

The company has made a donation and sponsored his boxing kit.

Scott's bout will be at the Bradford City Coral Windows Stadium on March 30, when he hopes to repeat success he enjoyed in the event last year.

"I won my match and absolutely loved the buzz of competing in front of so many people," he said.

"I'd found out about the event when I saw an advert on Facebook.

"Cancer Research UK is a charity close to my heart and I really hope I can reach my sponsorship target."

Scott is currently training at the Abusins Muay Thai Gym, in Bradford.

Konrad Czajka, managing director of Czajka Care Group, said the company was proud to be providing support.

"I am always impressed when one of our team does something special for charity," he added.

"Scott is a hard-working young man and a great chef, and he has committed to a challenging schedule of training in order to raise money for a charity that we are all very connected to.

"We can’t wait to see him in action."

Tickets for the black-tie event are available at ultratickets.co.uk.
