A KEIGHLEY company is celebrating a decade-long partnership with a truck manufacturer.

Genesis CMS Ltd has just taken delivery of its latest Isuzu Grafter dropside wagon, ten years after investing in its first.

The latest acquisition means that Isuzu vehicles now make-up half the fleet of the Parkwood Street firm, which supplies hydraulic breakers and attachments to the plant hire, construction and utilities markets.

And the first truck is still part of the fleet, having clocked-up more than 268,000 miles.

"It has been totally reliable – giving us excellent payload capacity in that time," said Andy Clough, managing director of Genesis CMS Ltd.

"We bought another Isuzu Grafter three years ago and that has been equally successful, again with no real problems or issues.

"I can’t speak highly enough about how good the long-term support from Isuzu and its dealers has been."

He added: "The arrival of the latest-specification Grafter Green has gone down really well with the drivers. Not only is it an excellent truck that is smoother to drive than its predecessors, it is also considerably lighter."

The truck, supplied by Cartwright Fleet Services in Leeds, is expected to cover around 40,000 miles a year.

Bob Docherty, for Isuzu Truck UK, said he was delighted at the "decade of impeccable service" to Genesis CMS Ltd.

He added: "Over the years, the Isuzu Grafter has built-up a deserving reputation as a truly reliable workhorse vehicle that can cope with a variety of demanding applications.

"Distributing heavy and bulky breakers and ancillary equipment for the plant hire and construction industries is yet another marketplace in which the Grafter has excelled."
