A SUCCESSFUL community art project in Oxenhope held in advance of the previous Tour de Yorkshire will take place again this spring.
Oxenhope Primary School will host the event between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday April 17.
It will be in preparation for the 2019 Tour cycle race, which passes through the Worth Valley's villages on Sunday May 5.
A spokesman for the school explained: "People will be painting white roses to be fixed to signposts around the villages, as well as painting Oxenhope bike themed artwork.
"All are welcome to come and have fun, have a cuppa and a chat with others from the villages. Let's work together to make some fabulous art.
"Tea and biscuits will be provided and people can come and stay all day or drop in and out as they wish. There will be a visit from the Lord Mayor.
"This is a community event co-funded by Oxenhope Parish Council and Oxenhope Primary School, to bring people together to celebrate the village as part of the Tour de Yorkshire."
