ROLL UP, Roll Up! The first of the big three live-action Disney remakes this year is just around the corner.

With Aladdin and The Lion King widely anticipated later this year, we start with the remake of the hugely popular 1941 animation Dumbo.

Dumbo (PG) will be flying in to the Picture House from its release on the Friday, March 29.

Struggling circus owner Max Medici enlists a former star and his two children to care for Dumbo, a baby elephant born with oversized ears. When the family discovers that the animal can fly, it soon becomes the main attraction, bringing in huge audiences and revitalizing the rundown circus.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what edge director Tim Burton puts on this. He’s best known for his work on Alice In Wonderland (2010), Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and The Nightmare Before Christmas to name a few.

I’m sure this will be a spectacular show full of twists and turns!

If you’re looking for something a little different then you don’t have to wait much longer as the new adaptation of author Stephen King’s novel Pet Sematary which has a UK release of April 4.

Dr Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home.

When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbour Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.

If like me you’re a huge DC fan then I probably don’t need to remind you that on April 5 the comic company’s latest release Shazam! (12a) hits the big screens.

Billy Batson is a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr Thaddeus Sivana.

With recent DC releases such as Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad I’m looking forward to seeing more of the DC Cinematic Universe. It’s not just Marvel that has some amazing superheroes!

We had a fantastic turn out for the live broadcast we had back in October for Cliff Richard’s 60th Anniversary Tour and a lot of you have been asking for more concerts – so we have some great news.!

Celebrating 30 incredible years, Take That are bringing their huge 2019 Greatest Hits tour to the Picture House for one night only! Broadcast live on June 8, Gary, Mark and Howard Will perform their biggest hits from the last three decades.
