A BUILDING society with branches across the Keighley district is accepting donations for the Cyclone Idai Appeal.

Hundreds of people have been killed and many more left devastated by the cyclone, which swept through Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Donations made via a special Skipton Building Society account will go to the appeal set-up by the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Ivan Le Roux, for the society, said: “We pride ourselves in being able to act quickly to support those in need.

“This account provides the facility for customers to help those affected by the cyclone to rebuild their communities and prevent the associated after-effects of events such as this.”

The society has branches in Cavendish Street, Keighley; Kirkgate, Silsden, and Main Street, Cross Hills.
