MEMBERS of a personal training business who scaled Ingleborough in aid of Manorlands raised £364.

A 17-strong contingent from NuBod Personal Training at Cross Roads took part in the challenge.

“We were very pleased with the amount raised and thankful of the support received,” said James Turner, who co-owns the business with partner Shelby Hardinge.

“We chose Manorlands because it is such a worthy cause and so many people have family and friends who have benefited from its wonderful services.

“Knowing that the money will have a positive effect on people’s lives is amazing.”

For some members, tackling the 2,375ft-high mountain – one of Yorkshire’s famous Three Peaks – was the first time they had ever taken on a challenge of that magnitude.

People of all ages and abilities were involved.

James said he was proud of their achievement.

The business is hoping to stage more events in the future in support of the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
