A YEAR four pupil showed her determination to make a positive difference – with help from her school.
Erin Boothman, of Sutton Community Primary, suggested a fundraising day for Breast Cancer Care.
Head teacher Fiona Beetles said: “When one of our pupils wants to make a difference to the world we’ll do everything we can to support them.
“When Erin proposed this fundraising for a charity close to her heart, of course we said ‘yes’.
“Children and staff came dressed in the charity’s colours of orange and pink to show our support, not just for the charity, but also for Erin.
“Erin’s dad Stuart will be running the London Marathon, also in support of Breast Cancer Care. People can visit justgiving.com/fundraising/oldmanplodding to support him.”
The day at the school raised £218 for the charity, which will be match-funded by Mr Boothman’s workplace.
