A GROUP of brave employees are preparing for a sponsored skydive for the charity NSPCC.

Chris Burdock, of Haworth, Rebecca Forrest, from Cross Hills, Emily Rhodes, from Silsden and Andrei Diaconu, from Skipton, work at CPOMS, which specialises in safeguarding and child protection software for schools.

The skydive is being organised by Cullingworth resident Nicki Higgins, a trainer and demonstrating consultant at the Skipton-based firm.

She said: "It's the first time any of them have done a skydive, so they're absolutely petrified!

"But this is such a worthy cause and we want to raise as much money as possible for a cause which has strong links to what our own company stands for."

Each individual person donating to the group's fundraising will be entered into a prize draw to win an Amazon Echo device.

Any school that donates more than £10 will be entered into a prize draw to win a 12-months CPOMS subscription. All donations must be received by 9am on Friday July 19 and the winners will be notified in September.

The skydive will take place in September at Black Knights Parachute Centre, Lancaster.
