A KEIGHLEY man is planning to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks this summer in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Adam Hanson, 27, plans to set off to walk the 24.5-mile route in July 27 and hopes to complete the challenge within 12 hours.
He said: “I decided to do the walk as the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity don’t receive any funding, it’s all charity work. I have always been a big fan of them.”
Adam and about 40 fellow workers at Keighley company Teconnex last year raised about £2,000 by walking the Three Peaks – Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside – in the Yorkshire Dales.
Adam said Teconnex, based at Bronte Works in Chesham Street, had pledged to match any donation he received up to £1,000 for his solo walk.
He added: “Any donation will help make an impact.”
