WALKERS can get moving on Easter Monday with a guided walk to Hainworth and beyond.

The six-mile circular route on April 22 will involve ups and downs beyond Hainworth and up to Harden, before heading back via Barcroft.

Meet David Anderson at 10.30am at St. James’ Church, Cross Roads, for the varied walk, one of the spring/summer programme from Bradford Council using volunteer guides.

Mount Calvary and Middleton Woods will be explored on April 19 – Good Friday – during a three-mile circular walk. Meet Barbara Walker at 11am at the Manor House, Ilkley.

East Morton, Sunnydale and the Glen can be seen on April 28 on a 3.5-mile, hilly, circular route through a mix of woodland and farmland.

Meet Jeff Brodri ck at 10.30am at East Morton Village Green.

May 1 will take walkers to Shipley Glen on a five-mile circular route looking at historic sites with a mixture of park, woodland, canal and the Glen itself.

Bluebell Wood is the title of a four-mile circular walk on May 4 through Middleton Woods to Mount Calvary

Meet Gillian Dale and Mary Weir outside the Manor House, Ilkley, at 1pm for a steady climb in easy stages.

Walkers can explore Thornton and Ovenden Moor on May 12 as they walk 8.5 miles on a circular route over moorland.

Meet Kenneth John Allen at 10.30am at the old Denholme Velvets mill car park on the A629 at Denholme Gate.
