AN organisation is celebrating 20 years of delivering work experience and skills training opportunities.
Over the two decades, Xperience has delivered more than 190,360 placements across the district and in neighbouring council areas.
Most have been arranged for young people aged 14 to 19, but Xperience also works with graduates, lone parents and the unemployed.
The team, Bradford Council’s work placement organiser, is based within the authority's children's services department.
Gladys Rhodes White, interim strategic director for children's services, said: "It is vital that young people engage with employers to enhance their learning experiences, establish connections and make informed choices about their career aspirations.
"By exploring real-life opportunities in the workplace, a student’s confidence can grow and this motivates them to progress at school.
"The Xperience team is extremely proud of its achievements and will continue to work hard to provide work-related learning opportunities for young people."
Any organisations interested in hosting a work placement can contact Xperience on 01274 439600 or xperience@bradford.gov.uk.
