WANNABE is a new Spice Girls tribute show coming to St George’s Hall in Bradford. The girl power concert celebrates the career of the world-famous girl group.

A spokesman said: “The Spice Girls and their ‘girl power’ defined a generation, becoming pop icons for many children, teenagers and adults of the time.

“Formed in 1994, the Spice Girls captured the world’s attention with their debut single Wannabe, released on 8 July 1996.

“The single went on to become one of the bestselling singles of all time, topping the charts in 37 countries and selling over six million copies worldwide.”

The show is described as family-friendly, as it follows the five girls’ glittering careers from their first release to their 2012 Olympic Ceremony reunion.

The spokesman added: “Featuring the girls’ biggest hits and songs from their solo careers; whilst the cast bring to the stage that infamous unique charisma the Spice Girls were so well known for.

“Come and join the exceptionally talented Wannabe cast as they pay homage to Ginger, Scary, Posh, Sporty and Baby in the smash hit touring sensation not to be missed!”

Whitney Queen of the Night returns to St George’s Hall on May 10 with its celebration of the music and life of Whitney Houston.
