LAST Christmas may now be a distant memory for most.

But Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands is still benefitting from festive fundraising.

It has received the proceeds from the latest Christmas raffle staged by Ingrow-based NSF Controls Ltd.

Over the years, the Halifax Road firm has coined-in more than £7,000 for Manorlands through the seasonal raffle, organised by Debbie Enright.

Liv Moffat, community fundraiser at the hospice, said: “We are so grateful for the continued support from the team at NSF Controls.

“This is an incredible total raised by the staff and we’d like to give a special ‘thank you’ to Debbie for organising the raffle and making it such a success.

“It costs £3.2 million to run the hospice for the year and the continued support of people like NSF Controls is vital to the care we provide.

“This money is used to provide expert palliative, neurological and bereavement support to patients and their families in the community.”

All Manorlands services are free to patients and their loved ones, but only a small part of the cost of delivering the provision is covered by statutory funds.

Most of the money has to be raised through voluntary donations.
