TICKETS for Menopause The Musical could well be the hottest ticket in town. The comedy musical is back on tour and visits St George’s Hall on Thursday and Friday this week.

Three of Britain’s best-loved stars, EastEnders’s Cheryl Fergison, original girl power group legend Maureen Nolan and Casualty’s Rebecca Wheatley, set out to turn “the change” into a fun-filled night at the theatre.

They believe that sharing the evening with friends could be therapy for the soul.

Cheryl said: “This show simply had to be made. It tells you it’s okay to talk about the subject and I’m delighted because I’m going through the menopause myself at the moment.

“You see, until you do you have no idea it’s such a big thing.”

Maureen added: “The timing is great for this show. Women just seemed to be desperate for a great night out.

“Menopause The Musical entertains with 23 songs such as I Will Survive, but re-written with comedy lyrics. And it doesn’t make light of the menopause, rather it shows you can tackle the raging hot sweats with humour and honesty.”

Menopause The Musical is billed as a hysterical and uplifting show packed full of one-liners about night sweats, hot flushes and memory loss, backed by an instantly recognisable soundtrack of innuendo-laden versions of 60s, 70s and 80s pop classics.
