A HOST of local companies have offered raffle prizes for a Keighley tattoo parlour’s Manorlands fundraising day.

Mandala Tattoo Studio has created special cancer ribbon tattoos which will be inked to people’s skin in return for donations for the Oxenhope hospice.

Salon owners Jane and Keith Towler have organised the event on May 11 as a spin-off to the annual Manorfest music festival.

Jane said her staff had now created 20 new designs for customers to choose from on the day.

She added: “We have a lot going on and a lot of support and are very excited for the day.

“We will have a selfie booth and a secret social media raffle for people who check in on Facebook or who use #tattoos4manorlands on Instagram.

“Bronte Bars and Events are providing us a unique bar and waiving their usual set-up fee, and Oakley’s Grill and Pizzeria are providing free pizzas for the day.”

Mandala, in Cavendish Court off Lawkholme Lane, have pledged that all the money from each customer will go entirely to Manorlands.

Jane said: “A few years ago I lost my mum to ovarian cancer so we thought it would be a good cause and we can do our bit.”

“We expect it to be a walk-in event rather than taking bookings because we think it will be so busy.”

As well as tattoos there will be a chance to have body piercing with the price including a £5 donation to Manorlands.

Keith is a tattoo artist while Jane handles the business side of Mandala.

Mandala has been open in Keighley for six years and as numerous artists offering various tattoo styles.

The salon also offers body piercing, laser treatments and fat freezing, covering many body modification procedures.

The couple set up in Keighley after Keith had run a tattoo studio in Haworth for several years.
