Morrisons representatives join worshippers at the mosque
A KEIGHLEY supermarket has supported a mosque in the town as Ramadan got underway.
Morrisons donated £100 worth of goods – including fruit, water, hot food and desserts – to Al-Amin Masjid, in Kensington Street.
Nicole McGuinness, community champion at the Worth Way store, and grocery manager Kalam Ali visited the mosque to hand over the items.
“We were made to feel very welcome,” said Nicole. “We all sat down together and I was able to watch how the community comes together during Ramadan to pray when opening the fast.
“Our store is proud to be able to work with the local community.”
Ramadan, which sees Muslims fast between sunrise and sunset, will run for 30 days.
