THE SUE Ryder team in Keighley is again organising a fashion show in aid of Manorlands.

Staff and volunteers at the charity’s Cavendish Street shop will host the event on Friday May 31 at Keighley Rugby Union Club.

Spokesman Hazel Abbott said: “We had such a good time last time and have worked hard to do it all again.

“Nearly all items are new with tags, and there are going to be bargains galore. We have clothes, shoes, bags, gift sets, and also a raffle.

“Please come along and help us raise more money for our wonderful charity.”

Tickets are available at the Sue Ryder shop costing £5.

The last fashion show organised by the Sue Ryder shop raised £1, 650 for the charity’s Manorlands hospice in Oxenhope.

Jayne Ward, who works in the shop, led the organisation of the event, and the volunteers, families and friends modelled clothes.

Sue Ryder has supported people through serious illness for the past 65 years.

Sue Ryder began her work during the Second World War, helping people displaced from their homes as a result of the conflict.

After the war she widened the scope for work, supporting people in need of palliative and neurological care across the UK and internationally.
