KEIGHLEY Cougars are hosting a fundraising extravaganza in support of cancer charities.
An afternoon of activities is being staged at Cougar Park next Saturday, May 25, ahead of the rugby league club’s match against Oldham – which kicks off at 6.30pm.
Charities Bosom Friends Bradford and Cancer Support Yorkshire will be staging tombolas and bake sales.
There will be face painting, balloon modelling and hair braiding.
A sponsored Cougar Conga will take place on the pitch at 5.30pm and local band Night Patrol will perform.
“There’s sure to be a fantastic party atmosphere,” said a club spokesman.
“We’ve had pink kits made for the team and the club will be donating for every spectator who comes along wearing pink. We’re hoping to raise a huge amount for local cancer charities.
“As a club we are fully committed to working with the community.”
The match itself will be preceded by a curtain raiser, featuring the Silsden Stormettes, at 4pm.
