THE FLOW it will take young talent to the Groovy Happening in Haworth on Saturday. The four-piece band from Idle, Bradford, were formed in August last year.

Their genre of music is generally rock and indie, playing covers of bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Monster Truck and Diamond Head.

Headlining the Happening will be Alley Gator, a five-piece band covering rhythm & blues and rock classics. Influences include ZZ Top, The Doors, Dr Feelgood, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles.

“John Bruce, a experienced solo acoustic act with a huge repertoire of music from folk to pop, will be fronting John Bruce and Friends, with John Brooksbank on bass guitar and Steve Gibson on drums. They will be performing a good selection of covers we all know from pop to rock.”

The Groovy Happening is at the Parkside Social Club, Butt Lane, from 7.30pm, with a disco and raffle. Admission £3, proceeds to Manorlands.
