A KEIGHLEY building society wants to hear from community groups in need of a helping hand.

Staff at the Yorkshire Building Society in Low Street have already donated countless hours of their time to good causes in the area, including Haworth Riding for the Disabled.

Now other charities and groups which could benefit from the award-winning volunteer programme are being urged to come forward.

The plea has been issued ahead of Volunteers' Week.

Chloe Emmerson, the society's branch manager, said: "The week is a great reminder of the contribution voluntary work can make across the UK and we know first-hand about the impact it has brought in Keighley.

"For over a decade we have seen that time can be just as valuable a gift as money to charities and community groups.

"We want to hear from more local good causes that need support."

Nationally, since the scheme was launched, more than 100,000 hours of time have been donated by staff.
