FORMER Terrorvision singer Tony Wright will headline the Shuttle Shuffle Festival in Bradford.

Tony, one of Keighley’s best-known rock figures after fronting both Terrorvision and LaikaDog, will perform on Saturday, August 17.

Tony Wright hit the heights of national fame in the 1990s while singing with Bradford rock band Terrorvision.

He also writes, records and tours under his own name with a setlist made up of songs he has written on his acoustic guitar - some upbeat, some melancholic, but all thought-provoking.

A Shuttle Shuffle spokesman said: “In addition to his three albums with his post-Terrorvision band LaikaDog, he has released two solo albums to date with a third one in the works.

“Thoughts ’n’ All is just Tony and his acoustic guitar. The follow up Walnut Dash, released last year, brought the evolution of Tony with his acoustic guitar and a full band.

“Tony will be out and about at Shuttle Shuffle 2019 picking up inspiration in preparation for the new release. Be sure to catch him because you never know - you might just end up being the subject of one of his songs.”

The Shuttle Shuffle Festival is an urban grassroots music festival held in Little Germany, Bradford, on August 17 and 18. Venues confirmed so far are Sorm Studios, Bradford Playhouse and the Merchant Bar.

The festival started about six years ago at Factory Street Studios in Dudley Hill, Bradford, predominantly music but with art and spoken word elements.

Organisers encourage bands musicians and artists from across Yorkshire.
