GRIMETHORPE Colliery Band, formed during the First World War in 1917, will perform at St George’s Hall in Bradford on Saturday June 22.

The band have a diverse number of notable concert performances including those at the FIFA World Cup, BAFTA Awards, BBC Proms, Eurovision and London 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony.

They have two gold discs, as well as a BAFTA nomination for their contributions to the hit movie Brassed Off.

The Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall, Barbican, Westminster Abbey, European Parliament, Sydney Opera House and more, have all played host to Grimethorpe.
