KEIGHLEY support groups are reaching out to help women living in the Ingrow and Bracken Bank areas.
What’s Cake Got To Do With It? is the title of the event organised by E5 Keighley, which works with women and girls, and the Women of Keighley group.
There will be a chance to hear the stories of survivors, and learn about self-help and mindfulness, during the event on July 2 from 9.30am to 1pm at the Sue Belcher Centre in Bracken Bank Avenue.
The “open and friendly” event - which is open to all women - will also include activities for pre-school children, information stalls, crafts, and lunch.
Jo Horrox, the E5 coordinator, said: “We have an active and enthusiastic working committee of local mums and staff from a range of statutory and voluntary agencies offering support and services to local families.
“We are planning a morning of information sharing around women’s issues and promotion of self-help and mindfulness.
“Some mums plan to bring their pre-school children.”
