FAMILY and friends of a Cross Hills teenager who died aged 16 in October 2017 have taken part in a Young Minds 10k Your Way challenge in his memory.

The 25-strong group followed a route from Stainforth to Feizor and back.

Aidan would have been 18 on June 21st and he walk over the fields to Feizor was one of Aidan’s favourites when he visited his grandma’s house in Stainforth.

The walk not only provides breath-taking views of the Three Peaks and the weather provided perfect conditions, helping the group raise £300 for Young Minds. Participants said they enjoyed the event so much it was agreed to make the walk an annual event each June in memory of Aidan.

Young Minds is the UK charity fighting to make sure all young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s challenges.
