A SEARCH is on for the district's 'healthcare heroes'.

Bradford district and Craven clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are seeking nominations as they honour those making a difference to communities' health and wellbeing.

Accolades will be handed out across several categories.

CCG staff, people working in GP surgeries, practice volunteers, patients, and individuals and teams in community organisations could be up for awards.

Categories include partnership, living well, patient experience and volunteering heroes, and 'above and beyond'.

David Richardson, Bradford district and Craven CCGs' lay member for patient and public involvement, said: "The healthcare hero awards are a great way to say thank-you to those who should be recognised and celebrated for the work they do that makes a real difference.

"I look forward to meeting the finalists and congratulating them for all the hard work they do for people in our local communities.’"

Nominations should be made at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/agmawards2019 by July 31.

Those shortlisted will be invited to an awards ceremony at NHS Bradford district and Craven CCGs annual general meetings in September, when winners will be announced.
