ONCE again an inappropriate housing proposal is being discussed, this time for Haworth – £10 million housing plan for old mill site (Keighley News, July 4).
Ebor Mill does need renovation and bringing back into life, but 60 homes in a conservation area should be totally unacceptable.
There is insufficient – if any – employment within the village so this would create more commutes, pollution and congestion on an already-compromised road.
There is also the very important impact on wildlife and insects.
More acceptable in my view would be a suitable number of apartments within the mill building and adequate parking.
