HOME-shopping giant Damart – whose warehousing facility is at Steeton – is serving-up an initiative to celebrate a fundraising milestone.
The company has produced a special cookbook to mark a decade of supporting Heart Research UK.
Donations from sales of the Happy Healthy Heart Cookbook will go to the charity.
The book – together with a pedometer, fitness top and leggings, exerciser and walking trainers – is available to buy at damart.co.uk/happy-healthy-heart-cookbook, until August 31. For every purchase, £5 will be donated to Heart Research UK.
Since the firm launched its support of the charity ten years ago, £55,000 has been coined-in.
Claire Brown, Damart’s online merchandising manager, said the company was proud of the amount raised.
She added: “We’re excited to have launched these products this year to raise even more money for the charity.
“The aim is also to raise awareness of the importance of having a healthy lifestyle and a healthy heart.”
Marie Peacock, of Heart Research UK, said: “We are so thankful for everyone’s efforts at Damart.”
