CUT-price tickets are now on sale for this year’s Keighley Show.

They are available online and from several outlets across the area.

Adult admission to the show on the day is £10, but people can save £2 by buying a ticket in advance.

Concessionary prices on show day are £6 for visitors aged 60-plus and £5 for five-to-15-year-olds, but pre-event tickets offer a £1 saving.

Under-fives are admitted free.

This year’s show takes place at Marley playing fields on Saturday, September 7.

Tickets can be obtained online, at keighleyshow.co.uk, until August 30.

And they will be available from several shops up to September 4.

Sales points include The Flower Shop, in Bow Street, Keighley; customer services at the town’s Morrisons and Sainsbury’s stores; C&L Herd Butchers, in Queens Road, Ingrow; J Lund Butchers and the post office, Oakworth Road, Keighley; Spar in Station Road, Haworth, and Twiggs Newsagents & Post Office in Kirkgate, Silsden.

Tickets can also be bought from the Co-op food stores in Greenside Lane, Cullingworth; School Street, Denholme; Station Road, Oakworth, and – from Thursday, August 22 – at Bradford Road, Riddlesden.

“We would encourage people not to leave it too late to buy their discounted tickets,” said a show spokesman.

“There are also other savings to be made.

“Free parking will be available, or people can make use of a free heritage bus service being provided by the Keighley Bus Museum Trust – between Hanover Street, the railway station and the showground.

“Metro card holders also have the option of using the Keighley-Bradford 662 Shuttle service or the Keighley-Leeds 60 Aireline service, which both run regularly and have stops within a few minutes’ walk of the showground.”

An array of attractions is lined-up for the show.

While the event showcases the area’s agricultural sector, a wide variety of other classes and displays is planned – from working sheepdogs with Tom Longton and terrier racing to the City of Bradford Pipe Band, plus all the usual sections.
