DOWN-HOME country music will fill the South Craven hills this month as the Hillbilly Honkytonk returns to Glusburn.

Liz Nelson and her husband are again organising the live music event at their Manor House Farm on Saturday August 17.

Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash tribute acts will take to the stage along with the Holborn Hillbillies and Jessica & The Ragged Company.

Keep It Cash will entertain for the first time, while Andrea Pattison is returning after the great reception to her portrayal of Dolly Parton.

Liz said: “She is back for the second time to the honkytonk stage, as she was so popular last time. Wigs and rhinestones at the ready for this one!

“One field, one tent, four live bands and a DJ. We also have a bucking bronco, fodder, beer and camping!

“Hang on to ya hats and get ready for some banjo pickin ya’ll, with the Holborn Hillbillies! Dig out your dungarees and leave your pitchforks behind the bar – these guys know how to have a good time.”

Tickets cost £25 each from the Hare and Hounds pub in Lothersdale, Ripon Farm Services in Kildwick or Black Lane Ends Tavern in Colne.

Alternatively people can visit the Hillbilly Honkytonk’s Facebook page or call 07828 050501.

Under 18s are free, dogs welcome, and camping is available at extra cost. Gates will open at midday on August 17, and tickets cost £25 each.
