A FAMILY fundraising event has given a boost to Manorlands.
The evening of entertainment raised £5,106 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
The Rocket Blues Band performed at the event, at Gargrave Village Hall.
Sponsorship was provided by Ellison Construction and Sutcliffe Construction, and a number of companies donated raffle prizes.
Planning for the event was led by Charlotte McDonnell, who said: “As a family we have suffered the loss of loved ones who have been cared for by Manorlands. This was a way of giving a little back and to say ‘thank you’.
“We were overwhelmed with the generosity of local people and businesses.”
Sue Ryder fundraiser, Molly Ralphson, pays tribute.
She said: “Charlotte did a fantastic job organising this event for the hospice, along with sisters Lucy and Sarah. They raised more than enough to cover ten days’ worth of round-the-clock specialist care for a patient in our inpatient unit, which is amazing!”
