A KEIGHLEY woman diagnosed with stomach cancer is braving the shave this month.
Margaret Hodgson was recently diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal/stomach cancer and is due to undergo chemotherapy.
She said: “I have made the decision to shave my hair off before I lose any of it through chemo, as I feel it would be less upsetting than losing it gradually.
“Macmillan Cancer Support been fantastic but myself, my husband, son and daughter so it would be great to raise the money for them.”
Margaret and her family have so far raised £1,200 for the charity. They smashed their original £300 target within hours of putting a link on social media.
Margaret’s shave will be at Hairavanti, Cavendish Street, Keighley, on Saturday August 17 at 4.30pm, after the salon is closed early to the public.
