A MASS breastfeeding event staged in Keighley as part of a global initiative was a huge success.

More than 80 people took part in the activity, in support of The Big Latch.

The event also saw stalls set-up in the Airedale Shopping Centre, where people could access information and ask questions.

And businesses could learn more about the Breastfeeding Welcome scheme, which encourages premises to declare themselves ‘breastfeeding friendly’.

Steve Seymour, the shopping centre manager, said: “This was a wonderful event and we were thrilled to be a host.

“The advice and guidance families were able to receive was superb and essential for many.

“I’m sure people will have found it incredibly useful and it also helps raise awareness of healthcare support agencies and groups within Keighley and the Bradford district.”
