PEOPLE across Keighley are being urged to brew-up in support of charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support is staging its annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning initiative.

And people are being encouraged to organise events as part of the venture.

Workplaces, schools, churches, groups and individuals could all get involved.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is traditionally well supported in the Keighley district – last year, activities raised thousands of pounds for the cause.

The day itself is September 27, but events may be staged at any time.

All proceeds go to the cancer charity.

“Macmillan’s Coffee Morning raises millions for the ever-growing number of people affected by cancer,” said a spokesman.

“Macmillan is not Government-funded, so without the public’s generous help it simply couldn’t provide the services that are needed here in West Yorkshire..

“It couldn’t be simpler and more fun to take part – come together as a community in support of people living with cancer and raise money for Macmillan.”
