MODEL-railway enthusiasts will be making tracks for Keighley on Sunday (Aug 25).

Aire Valley Railway Modellers Club is staging its fourth, free open day at the Melbourne Mills clubrooms in Dalton Lane, from 10am to 4pm.

More than a dozen layouts, in gauges ranging from T to OO, will be on show.

They will include the 3mm-scale Aireworth, which features many painstakingly-built Keighley landmarks.

Visitors will also be able view layouts under construction, such as the N gauge Oxenhope. And in a first for the open days, people can see the start of a new O gauge layout and chat with its builders.

Several of the exhibits have featured in the popular railway modelling press.

There will be model railway sales and refreshments will be available. A small car park is located to the side of the building, and there is on-street parking. There is no disabled access to the clubrooms.
