A CHARITY is seeking more volunteers.
Haworth Riding for the Disabled currently has 19 voluntary helpers at its Vale Mill Lane stables.
But extra assistance is needed to carry out a variety of roles.
Tasks range from mucking-out the stables, side-walking riders, leading the horses during lessons and grooming and tacking-up, to helping in the reception area, fundraising and gardening.
Jackie Butterfield, for the charity, said: “There is no set time commitment – some people come once a month, some once a week and others more often – we are grateful for any support.
“Full training is given and no one is expected to do a job they don’t feel comfortable with.
“Volunteers are the backbone of what we do. We need people to keep volunteering so we can carry on.”
