STEETON-based Acorn Stairlifts is being held-up as a beacon of how to work positively with Trading Standards.
The firm is involved in a so-called primary authority scheme with the organisation, which means the manufacturer gets tailored advice on all rules and regulations covering its operations.
Now Acorn has become one of just three UK businesses featured as case studies on the Government’s primary authority website.
Catherine Beecroft, the company’s customer service manager, said the partnership had proved hugely beneficial.
She said it had helped the business build an “effective and autonomous” customer relations department and achieve a five-star rating on the online review website, Trustpilot.
“West Yorkshire Trading Standards really understands our business DNA,” she added.
“We constantly strive to conduct business within regulations and remain compliant and it’s nice to know there’s always a helping hand.”
